WATER OUTLET – Remove & Replace – 1.4L Eng,Turbocharger
ADDED HALF GALLON OF WATER TO FILL COOLING SYSTEM. PERFORMED PRESSURE TEST ON COOLING SYSTEM. FOUND WATER OUTLET IS LEAKING AND WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED. HEATER HOSE GOING TO REAR OF OUTLET GETTING SOFT. RECOMMEND HEATER HOSES FOR PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE. RECOMMEND REPLACING EXPANSION TANK HOSE WITH OUTLET. AFTER INSTALLATION OF HEATER HOSES AND WATER OUTLET HAD TO ALLOW VEHICLE TO SIT OVERNIGHT TO HELP BLEED AIR OUT OF SYSTEM. RETURNING FRIDAY, RESUMED ALLOWING CAR TO RUN. THERMOSTAT STUCK SHUT. WILL NEED NEW THERMOSTAT. INSTALLED NEW THERMOSTAT. WHILE ALLOWING VEHICLE TO IDLE, HOSE FROM OUTLET TO OIL COOLER BUSTED. INSTALLED NEW HOSE FROM OUTLET TO COOLER.
HEATER HOSES – Remove & Replace – 1.4L Eng,Turbocharger Both,Inlet & Outlet – [NOTE: Deduct 0.2 when used in conjunction with Radiator Hose(s) – R&R.]
Found that vehicle pulls hard to the left. Front brakes have some pulsing when braking; front rotor might be warped.Found a small oil leak at front of engine near harmonic balancer. Found oil leak at back of engine on the fire wall near the transmission. Exhaust is also leaking over the cat manifold and down pipe meet. Bolt is missing from flange. Recommend replacing windshield wipers, replacing spark plugs, a transmission service, recommend replacing both engine and cabin filters.

SCANNED FOR CODES AND FOUND: P0171 BANK 1 TOO LEAN P0420 CATALYST BELOW THRESHOLD P2261 TURBOCHARGER BYPASS VALVE-MECHANICAL FOUND LONG TERM FUEL TRIM MAXED OUT LEAN WHEN VEHICLE WAS STARTED. ALLOWED VEHICLE TO IDLE WHILE CHECKING LIVE ENGINE DATA. AFTER VEHICLE RAN FOR APPROXIMATELY AN HOUR LONG TERM FUEL TRIM DROPPED INTO SPECIFICATION. VEHICLE SAT OVERNIGHT. RECHECKED FUEL TRIM READING FIRST THING IN THE MORNING. FUEL TRIMS READING IN PROPER RANGE STILL. RAISED VEHICLE TO CHECK AXLES AND OIL LEAK AND FOUND CRANK SEAL LEAKING WHICH MAY CONTRIBUTE TO LEAN CODE, AS WELL AS DOWNSTREAM O2 SENSOR COATED IN ENGINE OIL AND AXLE GREASE. RECOMMEND STARTING WITH DOWNSTREAM 02 SENSOR AND REPAIRING LEAKS THAT COATED 02 SENSOR(PASSENGER SIDE AXLE AND OIL LEAK REPAIRS)
FOUND DECENT AMOUNT OF OIL COLLECTED AT BOTTOM OF ENGINE/OIL PAN AREA. FOUND OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY LEAKING ENGINE OIL. CRANK SEAL APPEARS TO BE LEAKING. NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM POSSIBLE OIL PAN LEAK DUE TO OIL DRAINING DOWN ON PAN FROM COOLER AND CRANK SEAL. RECOMMEND REPAIRING OIL COOLER LEAK AND CRANK SEAL, CLEANING AREA AND RECHECKING FOR LEAKS. NO COOLANT IN RESERVOIR. RECOMMEND FILLING SYSTEM AND PRESSURE TESTING FOR LEAKS. NO VISUAL EVIDENCE OF ANY COOLANT LEAK AT THIS TIME.
REPLACE VACUUM HOSE FROM INTAKE TO BOOST PRESSURE SOLELNOID
FOUND EXPANSION TANK HOSE TO WATER OUTLET LEAKING. RECOMMEND REPLACING EXPANSION TANK HOSE.
